We were fine here on our slopey bit of land. But this is what Shelburne Falls looked like on Sunday:

Back in 1982, I thought Dexy's Midnight Runners' hit was "Come on Irene." Perfect, right?
Turns out, it's about some "Eileen" person. But it WAS a One-Hit-Wonder ...and a good one.
(To clarify, Dexys Midnight Runners did have several other hits in the UK. But in the US, this was it.)

I now have that song stuck in my head! Hope you're managing ok after the hurricane.
Oh my gosh, that pic is crazy! I hope things are drying out for you by now... And "Come On Eileen" was definitely on the must-playlist at my wedding reception!
Two things...
1) Your hurricane and our hurricane were totally different.
2) LOVE Come On Eileen, especially when people at karaoke try to sing it drunk. It's brilliant.
Yowza, that's some flooding.
Wow, thank GOODNESS you're on high ground! I feel very lucky that we escaped reasonably unscathed (in Maine) although a huge old maple went right through a neighbor's barn.... incredibly scary storm!
Glad to here that you were safe on high ground. That is a SCARY pic!
