Quick question: Are chapter titles for kids' books?
I hope not. I really enjoy coming up with fun little titles, part summary, part in-joke (by "in-joke" I mean to include the reader, of course).
But perhaps a simple number would suffice? And then there are the big sections: parts one, two and three.... (Never any fun titles here for some reason)
Does anyone have an opinion on this?
How do you format your novel? Was it a conscious decision?

Required for comic novels about one-hit wonders. Fun for all comic novels. Appreciated in book I just read, Visit from the Goon Squad.
I think that using titles, numbers, or nothing is a style choice. I say keep them.
For actual formatting, I followed what the formatting your manuscript book told me.
